In technology organizations, there is a real issue finding resources with the right skill set to fill key leadership positions. Often, newly promoted leaders possess a high level of technical skills, but lack leadership skills, resulting in organizational malaise. In this workshop, we will conduct an exploration of skills, asking the following questions: • What skills and competencies are needed in your organization? • What skills and competencies do you possess? • What skills and competencies do you lack? In this workshop, the gap between existing technical skills and leadership skills will be assessed. Groups will read out results at each table.
