Distributed & Agile - An Oxymoron or a Reality?

Session Type: Experience/Research Report Timebox: 40
Summary:

"The most efficient and effective method of conveying information to and within a development team is face-to-face conversation" - so are distributed teams an agile anti-pattern? Can and should distributed and agile co-exist? Or in the present "flat world", are distributed & agile teams a reality for enterprises? This talk will try to unravel perspectives around the same with some real time experiences from multiple enterprise executions. I will be pairing with Neha Agarwal - a lead Business Analyst on this presentation.

Key Takeaways:

Key ways of working and success factors for distributed agile teams, some anti-patterns of what not to do in distributed setups to impede agility - both coming primarily from the personal experiences of the speakers.
