Details of two workshops:

 

1. Blockchain: Ethereum Internals and DAPPS Hands-On

  1. Abstract
    Security and resilience have always been of great importance in the digital world. Blockchain offers a secure way to exchange any kind of goods, services, or transactions. It is much more than just a foundation for cryptocurrency like Bitcoin. In this session, starting with the basic concepts of blockchain you will go further exploring the internal workings of Ethereum and Quorum. You will also be engaged in a hands-on for writing a full distributed app, starting from a basic setup of the private blockchain network, digging deeper into writing smart contracts, deploying them and the interaction of UI with blockchain.
     
  2. Agenda:
    1. Introduction to DLT and the detailed working of Ethereum.
    2. Setting up a private blockchain network.
    3. Writing your first Distributed App interacting with your block-chain network.
    4. Introduction to private blockchain Quorum
       
  3. Duration: 2.5 hours
     
  4. Prerequisites:
    1. Docker installed machines.
    2. Git
    3. Any Java IDE

2. Title: Machine Learning Lifecycle

TL;DR - Machine learning =! Software Engineering. The full ML cycle

  1. Abstract:
    As the machine learning (ML) community continues to accumulate years of experience with live systems, a wide-spread and uncomfortable trend has emerged: developing and deploying ML systems is relatively fast and cheap, but maintaining them over time is difficult and expensive. Machine learning offers a fantastically powerful toolkit for building useful complex prediction systems quickly. This session argues it is dangerous to think of these quick wins as coming for free. Using the software engineering framework of technical debt, we find it is common to incur massive ongoing maintenance costs in real-world ML systems. 
    In this session, we explore and demonstrate the ML Lifecycle, framework to deploy, while also exploring the infrastructure requirements.

    1. Introduction to Machine/deep learning experiments
    2. Lifecycle of a Machine learning project - Experiments to Production
    3. Tools & infrastructure for ML lifecycle management
    4. Testing and deployment of ML project

    2. Experience in Cloud and related technologies
